About the Show

Louisiana’s Rhythm Nation is a new Louisiana documentary-style television show that will air a collection of interviews with prominent music artists, entertainment business leaders, and other entertainment related professionals.  The interviews are conducted by Johnny Palazzotto, a 42-year veteran of the entertainment business.  Johnny’s bio can be found at www.LouisianasMusic.com.

Each local artist, unique to the history and culture of Louisiana music, sits down for a rare one-on-one interview to tell incredible stories of their life experiences from both an on-stage and general day-to-day perspective.  Throughout the program, music and video footage from old performances and experiences are shown in order to provide vivid context of each artist’s significance to Louisiana music.

The Rhythm Nation will seek to reach a demographic age group of 18 and above.  The program will be promoted, marketed, advertised and publicized through radio and TV promotional spots.  These promotional advertisements will air weekly in Baton Rouge, Lafayette and New Orleans.  In addition, a weekly print ad in The Baton Rouge Advocate’s Friday Fun Section and Sunday Magazine will list the program’s show times, which will be the same in each city every week for 13 weeks.  Replays will be scheduled, but will not be listed as regularly scheduled programming.  Offbeat Magazine will also carry a monthly print ad for The Rhythm Nation, and the ad will also be included in the Offbeat Weekly Report.

RN will continue to interview and feature artists willing to express themselves to a wanting audience.  Our first series of shows feature artists with very colorful backgrounds and unique experiences whose careers span two to six decades. For anyone with an interest in music, these stories will be very engaging.
